This service is to re-finish your slide in Black Nitride which we view as one of the most durable ways to re-fininsh your slide available. This service will most likely ADD 4-6 weeks to your existing lead time and cannot be cancelled or changed once your slide is sent in. At this time we are not offering this service for any other parts outside of slides. Some important things to consider and be aware of:
 
This service will add most likely 4-6 weeks to your order. This is due to us having to send slides out in batches to be processed and processing time from our service provider.
This service is for slides only. We do not offer this for other parts or components at this time. 
Pricing is:
$70 if you are having your slide machined by us at the same time
$80 if you are just sending in your slide to be Nitrided.
When ordering Nitride refinishing we cannot change or cancel your order once we recieve it for service. There are not exceptions to this policy.
We do not perform this process in house (no other shop does). Nitriding is a very specialized process and we are fourtunate to use a quality provider that many OEM's use for their Nitride processing. 
Nitriding is not a coating. It is a treatment of the steel. The Nitriding process diffuses carbon and nitrogen into the surface of the steel and forms an Iron Oxide layer (also turning the steel black) on the surface that is highly corrosion resistant. There is no dimensional change to the component and the part benefits from better wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and better lubricity.
